Summary of Dog Control By-Law - (Please ask for a copy for more detailed information) Dogs are prohibited from running at large off of the owner's property!! A fine can be imposed for any repeated violation in the amount of $105.00!! This Township has an agreement with the Almaguin Animal Shelter near South River. This is where any stray or lost dog will be taken.
Dog Tags are mandatory and are available at the Township Office. Tag fees are: $10 per dog or $7 for each spayed or neutered dog. Senior Citizens (65+) will pay $5 per dog or $4 for each spayed or neutered dog. |
