MINUTES OF McMURRICH/MONTEITH TOWNSHIP COUNCIL MEETING – SEPTEMBER 12th, 2006
McMurrich/Monteith Township council met on Tuesday, September 12th, 2006 at 7:30p.m. in the municipal office/fire hall in Sprucedale.
Present were Reeve, Glynn Robinson, Councilors: Heather Wilson, Mervin Mulligan, John Murphy. With regrets from Carol Maki.
Meeting was called to order at 7:30pm by Reeve Glynn Robinson. The reason for this meeting was to review the modifications of the Official Plan from the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing.
Council reviewed their concerns with the modifications. Among the concerns is the minimum distances from quarries and pits that owners would be required to hire consultants to prepare studies at their own expense. Staff was directed to bring copies of the neighbouring townships’ official plan to the next meeting.
Mulligan – Wilson We move into a closed session at 9:03pm. CARRIED Murphy – Wilson We come out of a closed session at 9:08pm. CARRIED
Glynn Robinson wished to add an item (Severance application from E. Cort) to the next meeting’s agenda.
Murphy - Mulligan We adjourn at 9:10pm until Monday, Oct. 2/06 or at the call of Reeve. CARRIED
Minutes not approved until accepted by Council.
