Township Bylaws

Bylaws are enacted by the Municipality to establish a record of laws that have passed in front of Council. The bylaws recognize everything from land or property construction to required legislation involving the ownership of pets. Persons committing a violation to the regulation of a bylaw are guilty of an offence, and set fines are procedures for most offences but for extreme cases or repeat offences a fine may be settled in a provincial court. Every person who contravenes a provision to any bylaw, is guilty of an offence and on conviction is liable to a fine, to a maximum of $5,000 under the Provincial Offences Act.
